What is Latina Power?

I have been answering that since 2014

Univision Miami Interview: What Is Latina Power?

In this Univision Miami interview, Zulmarie Padín—founder and trademark owner of Latinas Power®—answers the question, “What is Latina Power?” She shares why she created Latinas Power® in 2014 to advance Latina leadership and address the visibility, pay, and wealth gap for Latinas.

Latina power was always real.

We made it visible.

I'm Zulmarie Padín — founder and trademark owner of Latinas Power®. I've spent eleven years answering that question. Not with a slogan — but with more than a million Latinas who found their power and used it. That's the outcome. That's Latina power.

Because in 2014, when I typed "Latina Power" into Google, the results were sexualized, escort-type listings. Not one leader. Not one founder. Not one businesswoman.

So I built Latinas Power®. With an S — because this was about changing what Latina power meant in the world. Not a brand chasing a market, but a for-profit social enterprise funded by the women themselves, who put their own money down to build what didn't exist: a movement to turn Latina potential into Latina visibility — so they could be seen and earn what they're worth as professionals and business owners.

It worked.

Latinas Power® accelerated and impacted the success of more than one million Latina women in the United States.
Now the question is back — this time on a national stage. A congressman and an algorithm are both trying to define us again.
This was never just about a hat. It's about who gets to say what Latina power means — and right now, whoever fills that empty space wins.

Power is creation.

We have the power to create the life we want — we just need someone who believes in us, and the tools to build it. I activate people's power. It's not something you take. It's something you unlock. That's why I built Latinas Power®. And today, we do one thing: we tell the real stories of Latina leaders — who they are, what they've built, the expertise behind their name — and put them on the record.

When Latinas Power® tells a woman's real story, she is trusted. When she's trusted, she is chosen — and paid what she's worth. Latina power isn't a slogan. It's an economy. And these women are that economy.

Visibility is Power.

Latina power, by the numbers

34 million Latinas in the U.S. anchoring a $2.8 trillion annual consumer spending.

86% control household finances

74% shape family purchases

It is real. It is measurable.

The definition of Latina power is being written right now. Don't let an algorithm decide you don't exist.

Visibility = Income.

The best opportunities go to the seen — not always to the most qualified. Latinas Power® makes women leaders impossible to overlook — by both people and AI search.
